I performed "Ikkan-ryū Kokū Kaete" for the opening concert, and performed in pieces like "Goru" (comp. by Yokoyama Katsuya), "Hokkai Minyōchō" (com. by Miyagi Michio), and "The Eternal Traveler" (comp. by Christophe Molina).

Prague Shakuhachi Festival 2011. Preliminary performances are "Chidori no Kyoku" on the 27th, and "Sōkaku Reibo" on the 28th (see the liner notes for CD Ginyū for details about the pieces). Further information to be included.
I will be conducting a beginners class, as well as teaching a sankyoku class on the piece "Shin Tagasago".
I will also hold three lectures on the history of the shakuhachi, the structure of Kinko-ryū Honkyoku, and one presentation of my recently published book on advanced playing techniques of Kinko-ryū Honkyoku (see Writings for further information).

    I will start up the program with a live-in-studio performance, and then be side-kick together with Christina Nygren, a specialist on Japanese theatre. The program contains a variety of Japanese music, discussions on Japanese music culture in general, and also reports from the present situation in Japan.

During the European Shakuhachi Festival in Prague, August 26–30, 2010. Apart from the performances below, I also gave two presentations (see Writings).

I performed the Kinko-ryū honkyoku piece "Yūgure no Kyoku", and two sankyoku pieces. The early 19th century piece "Fune no Yume" (composed by Kikuoka Kengyō and Yaezaki Kengyō), with Satō Kikuko, "Hira" (20th century piece by Miyagi Michio), with Satō Kikuko and Watanabe Haruko.
