Private lessons
A private lesson is normally an hour long. If you take lessons on a regular basis, once a week, you will cover the basics in three to six months. After having mastered the tone production in the different registers, half-holing, and some other basic but essential techniques, you will continue with repertoire pieces. Traditionally, there are no etudes in the Japanese music, and you will learn major pieces from an early stage. The pace of learning, and the pieces I choose for practice, may differ from person to person.
